J’ai commencé à apprendre à penser lorsque j’ai compris avec autant de vivacité possible combien j’avais simplement oublié de savoir que j’en étais au fond capable.

NIBS VAN DER SPUY est un musicien Sud-Africain, peu connu en France. Il est l’ami de Piers FACCINI et d’Emily LOIZEAU. Il sortira prochainement une anthologie de son oeuvre « Crossing Borders Driving North » (1998 – 2010).

L’Empire des sens ou l’art de bander encore pour le 7éme art…

Le cinéma m’a sauvé de la médiocrité de mon sort.  Bien avant la musique ma vie ne fut que cinéma. J’ai longtemps été un rat de cinémathèque. J’ai bouffé de la pellicule au km,  dans les 90′s, j’ai dû voir plus de films que je n’ai acheté de disques… C’est dire ma boulimie de cinéma!  Puis vers 2009 j’ai fait une indigestion, overdose totale:  j’ai vomi tout le cinéma d’art et d’essai d’un coup et je n’ai presque plus vu de films. Cependant en bon enfant de Serge Daney et des « Cahiers du cinéma », la bonne parole du cinéma est revenu en 2013. Je retourne régulièrement voir des films,surtout des films de répertoire. Je fréquente à  nouveau assidûment les cinémathèques, le cinéma n’est pas mort, il bande encore, ma cinéphilie est ressuscitée.

L’amour est nécessaire à la plupart des êtres parce qu’il est un des rares moyens qui leur permettent d’oublier cette réalité parfois douloureuse : je vis. (Jean-René Huguenin)
